The Wadden Sea & Lauwersoog

The Wadden Sea is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world. Its dynamic environment, shaped by wind, weather, and tides, makes it an unparalleled playground for experienced coastal rowers.

Lauwersoog: Our Home Port

We depart from Lauwersoog (Haven 50, 9976 VN), a vibrant harbor located right on the edge of the Wadden Sea and the Lauwersmeer National Park.

Accommodations and Stay

Lauwersoog offers various possibilities for your stay during our rowing expeditions:

  • Camping & Chalets: There are multiple campsites right next to the water, offering tent spots, cabins, and chalets.
  • Hotels & B&Bs: You can find comfortable bed and breakfasts in the nearby villages or hotels directly on the harbor with a view of the sea.
  • Dining: The harbor is famous for its fresh seafood. Included in our daily tours are lunch and a concluding dinner at one of the local restaurants, sharing stories of our adventures on the water.

Whether you’re looking for a rugged outdoor camping experience or a comfortable bed to rest in after a long day of rowing, Lauwersoog has you covered.

Explore the beautiful surroundings of our home port before or after your rowing adventure.
